Deep Tissue Massage in West Kelowna from $59.99. Target chronic tension, knots and sports soreness. Open 7 days. Book online or call (778) 234-1899.
Deep Tissue Massage is our most requested treatment — and with good reason. If you carry tension in your neck, shoulders and lower back; if you sit at a desk all day; if you train hard or recover slowly after hikes and long drives through the Okanagan, this is the session your body has been waiting for.
Deep Tissue uses slow, deliberate pressure to reach the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue — the places that a light relaxation session can't quite touch. Our West Kelowna therapists blend firm pressure with precise technique, working knots loose rather than bulldozing through them. The result: real, lasting relief that typically compounds with repeat sessions.
Effective for long-standing neck, shoulder, lower-back and hip tension that doesn't respond to stretching alone.
Flushes metabolic waste from worked muscles, reduces DOMS and helps you train consistently.
Releases restricted fascia and tight muscle groups, so you move more freely and with less guarding.
Targets the exact muscles pulled tight by desk work, driving and phone-scrolling — the modern posture triad.
Tension headaches often trace back to tight sub-occipital and upper-trapezius muscles, both primary targets in Deep Tissue.
Firmer pressure triggers an even stronger parasympathetic response than lighter work for many guests.
Transparent, honest pricing. Taxes not included. No insurance paperwork — simple, affordable self-care. Annual Yellow Cherry Members enjoy even lower rates on qualifying services.
Strikethrough prices show standard rates; red prices reflect our current discount at selected times. Taxes extra.
Deep Tissue often produces a 'good hurt' — the satisfying ache of a knot being worked out. It should never cross into sharp or bracing pain. Our West Kelowna therapists are trained to stay in the productive zone and adjust instantly if pressure becomes too much.
Mild next-day soreness — similar to after a workout — is common, especially after your first deep-tissue session. Drink extra water, walk gently, and it typically passes within 24–48 hours. If you have a big event, book at least a day ahead.
We are a non-RMT therapeutic spa — we don't issue insurance receipts, and we price accordingly. Our therapists are skilled at deep-tissue technique; if you need insurance documentation or treatment of a specific injury under a benefits plan, we recommend a Registered Massage Therapist. For everyone else, our rates are typically 30–50% lower for the same hands-on time.
Acute tension: weekly for 2–3 weeks, then taper. Chronic issues: every 2–3 weeks. Maintenance: monthly. Our Yellow Cherry Membership works out to a great deal if you're booking more than once a month.
A light meal 60–90 minutes before is ideal. Avoid heavy meals right before — lying face-down on a full stomach is uncomfortable.
Always. Tell your therapist at the start — 'please spend most of the hour on my neck and shoulders' is a perfectly valid request.
